Why this site exists

Every other startup valuation calculator on Google is either on a VC's site, a cap-table platform's site, or an angel investor blog. None of them start from where founders actually start: "how much equity am I willing to give up?" That's the founder lens. This site uses it.

Sister to postmoneyvaluation.com, which takes the cap-table lens on the same rounds. Both draw on the PitchBook-NVCA Venture Monitor for stage medians and on Carta writeups where the Venture Monitor does not break a stage out; the benchmarks here were re-sourced to the Q2 2026 edition in September 2026, so where the two sites disagree on a number, this is the fresher one.
